TruPanion Covers unexpected injuries / illnesses!
A pre-existing condition is any injury or illnesses that your pet shows symptoms of before coverage begins. You don't need to formally know the name of the condition for it to be considered pre-existing. Pre-existing conditions are not covered by any pet insurance providers.
Trupanion may look for any condition that presented before enrolling in a policy or during any applicable waiting periods (5 days for injuries, 30 days for illnesses) to determine what is a pre-existing condition and not eligible for coverage.
If you select a Veterinarian that works with TruPanion, you pay your portion of the bill only. The Vet will submit their claim to Trupanion at checkout. Its that simple!
This information is current as of January 2022. Please visit Trupanion's website for updated information that may be available. This is informational purposes only & pet owners/breeders etc should always consult with Trupanion for plan details. This is not a complete listing of all coverages/exclusions.
Are you a fellow breeder or rescue? Want to offer your new families an introductory pet insurance? That is fantastic!
Unexpected things may arise after pets go to their new homes. Pet insurance is always a great idea. It helps reduce the likelihood of pets ending up being surrendered.
